Holly land of Pitas

Far from the very overated King of Falafel or the colorful and crowded As of Falafel is a new gourmet place called Miznon, the very best falafel in Paris!
In an adjacent street of the old Jewish Pletzl, stared chef Eyal Shani, exentric member of the Israeli version of Top Chef and acclaimed chef in Tel Aviv has just opened this new establishment dedicated to pitas. Not just another pita place but Miznon offers the best of fresh produce in a casual elegant place with an open kitchen. Bye bye drooling falafels and greasy fries, here the braised cauliflower is an invitation, tomatoes taste like sun and do I have to mention the tart Tatin…
Eyal Shani has created a wonderful and tasty fusion between the traditional falafel and the French cuisine: a pita with a twist! Step in and order at the bar and you will see the food getting prepared by the crew in front of your eyes, behind the counter. No cheating on the quality, everything is homemade but the pitas that are made in Tel Aviv and shipped fresh to Paris.
My favorite is the bourguignon pita together with one of the unmissable grilled cauliflower.
