Behind an anonymous grand door, in the secret of one of the hidden courtyards of these aristocratic mansions of old Paris is a contemporary art gallery called Mor-Charpentier. An industrial wing of the mansion in now hosting the gallery founded by Alex Mor and Philippe Charpentier in 2010 that became after only 2 years the place to discover the top Latin american contemporary artists.
Exploring new trends and accompanying the emergence of new territories, the gallery program defined by Mor and Charpentier, is rooted in emerging and contemporary art practices, in order to generate a stimulating and dynamic dialogue between local and global realities.
While a special privilege is given to young emerging artists, mor . charpentier is equally committed to promoting artists already advanced in their careers in order to deepen perspective and create an effective dialogue with their younger artists. The gallery practice is equally concerned with the promotion of artists that have established careers in foreign cities to new audiences, through both representation and the curation of exhibitions.
