The center of the world

An invitation to jump back in time with this wonderful exhibition taking place in one of the symbols of the « Belle Epoque » in Paris, le Petit Palais. Facing the « grand » one, this jewel of the 1900’s hosts a selection of paintings, sculptures, documents, furniture, jewels, photographies and movies celebrating the leadership of Paris and France at the time. Fashion, arts, music, ballet, architecture, technologie… the excellence of the new born republic, only 29 years old at the time, enlightning the world.
The peak will be the world fair, window of the world, that will attract over 54 million visitors who will get the chance to use the very first subway line in town, cross the river with the newly built bridge Alexander III, ice skate indoors on the Champs Elysées or use the street of the future, a moving walkway joining the Invalides to the Eiffel tower. From Guimard to Majorelle and Lalique, from Cézanne to Bouguereau and Rodin, from Sarah Bernhardt to Debussy, a journey into a sparkling era of creativity and invention that is part of the DNA of the city of lights.
A restaurant hosted in the exotic patio will offer a timeless pause in an historic landmark.
