Other side of the mirror

Roberto Platé is a designer with more than one talent. Known for his theater, ballet or opera decors, he designed for the most prestigious festival, theater companies and has worked with the most important directors in the last 40 years. Born in Buenos Aires in the 40s, he will start painting and designing in south America after his graduation from the Bildende Künst Academy in Munich, Germany. Then, installations and scenography will take him all over the world and specially to Europe with many istallations and productions that built up his reputation. Museums, art fairs and later the glamourous world of fashion will use the talent of Platé for grand scale events.
For the next 6 weeks, la Maison de l’Amérique Latine, has opened its door to Platé as a tribute to his talent, allowing him to install various elements in the beautifull mansion on Boulevard Saint Germain. A must see! This will be the opportunity to enter a glorious mansion of the 1700s with its wide gardens and to have a very unique design lecture by an absolute master! No entrance fee!
Maison de l’Amerique Latine is also available for rent for weddings and events and has a restaurant with garden dinning in the summer.
